100 days - 100 words every day

Let’s save the game.

At the beginning of this year, I publicly committed to writing 100 words every day along with other things. It is now the 27th of July, 2021. I have only finished one of the things I committed to. I launched Profilehunt - my side-project.

Why am I doing this?

I want to be a better writer. I want to articulate what occupies my mind better. I want to document my life, sometimes privately, sometimes publicly. 100 words are not a hard limit, but a minimum requirement.  Although I plan to write every day, I might miss some days. The current plan is to finish writing at least 100 - 100 word posts before the end of this year.

Why now?

I launched my side project a month ago. I have gotten very lazy recently. I want to be more accountable towards my goals. Maybe writing 100 words will be the first thing in the morning I could kickstart my day with. Finishing a small task early morning makes me think I am productive and I tend to avoid distractions before I finish work planned for the day.

Anything else?

Yes, along with these blog posts, I will be writing a blog post each week for Profilehunt blog. I also want to release a screencast every week on my Youtube channel. I will update how is it going every month here.

Thank you for reading this.
